Choosing between the Excel and Google Sheets version of the Workbook
The first decision you have to make after purchasing the workbook is to decide whether to use the Excel or the Google Sheets version. You will not be able to use both at the same time as the two systems don’t speak to each other. Here are some of the pro’s and con’s I see as it relates to the Tracking Workbook:
Excel
Pro’s:
Use without an internet connection
Easier to print and set print layouts
Con’s:
May not automatically save when the software crashes
Requires a software license so you must purchase Excel from Microsoft
Google Sheets
Pro’s:
Free!
Automatically saves all the time ensuring all of your data is saved
Available on mobile via apps for Apple and Android
Shareable with others (multiple editors)
You can extract the file into Excel or other file formats
Con’s:
May take longer to load especially if you have a slower internet connection

What do I prefer? I prefer Google Sheets. I’ve referred to the Google Sheets app on my phone on more than one occasion. I’m constantly using it to check the cost of an item I’ve received an offer on. I’ve also used it to find the inventory ID number of the item when pulling shipping and I’m away from my laptop. While it can take a few moments to load on the phone due to the file size, it has saved me much more time in the long run.

Disclaimer: The Tracking Workbook is a spreadsheet workbook containing multiple worksheets with a number of formulas. Due to the complexity of the workbook, the file size is significantly larger than a simple file. Therefore, it may take a few moments for formulas to load. Also, the workbook takes up a large area, as in lots of rows and columns. Therefore, it will be difficult to use the workbook on a mobile device. I have not tested this for exclusive mobile use and cannot guarantee full functionality.
